What makes Karachi moves different
Karachi is geographically the largest of our service cities and the move pattern is unique. A typical Karachi customer is moving 10 to 15 km within the city, but that 15 km can take 3 hours during peak traffic on Sharah-e-Faisal or the Korangi crossing. We schedule Karachi moves for 6 AM start in summer and avoid crossing the city north-to-south between 4 and 8 PM. A move that's 4 hours in the morning becomes 8 hours after office hours.
The DHA Karachi specifics
DHA Phase 5, 6, and 8 have the strictest gate security. Truck registration, driver CNIC, gate pass, all need to be confirmed 48 hours in advance. Phase 8 in particular requires a written NOC from the resident. We arrange the paperwork as part of the booking. DHA Phase 1 to 4 and Clifton blocks have older lanes and narrower turns. A 22-foot truck doesn't fit some of them, so we send a 14-foot Shehzore on those routes.
Bahria Town Karachi and the suburb moves
Bahria Town Karachi sits 30 to 45 minutes from central Karachi depending on time of day. Moves into Bahria are common from DHA, Clifton, and Gulshan. We plan a half-day extra for any move into Bahria because the gate-in-and-out cycle adds 90 minutes minimum. Possession delays in Bahria Town are still common, so we sometimes coordinate with our storage facility for the gap.
Intercity routes from Karachi
Karachi to Lahore is our longest and most-run route. 1,200 km, 2 days transit, overnight rest at Sukkur. We dispatch Lahore-bound trucks twice a week and run consolidated cargo for customers with smaller consignments. Karachi to Islamabad and Karachi to Multan run weekly. Monsoon and Karachi
Karachi monsoon is shorter than Lahore's but more intense. Gulshan-e-Iqbal, parts of FB Area, and the older Saddar streets flood predictably. We don't move during a red weather alert and we add a 4-hour buffer to any monsoon-month schedule. Tarps, plastic wrap, and covered loading are standard between July and September.
